Created in 2009, in Brasil, the production company Miríade Filmes has a strong emphasis on international co-productions and projects with decolonizing worldviews. It has co-produced projects with more than 20 production companies around the world (Brazil, India, USA, France, Colombia, Italy, Mexico, Burkina Faso, Sweden, China) and was the major producer of films by its founding partner Beatriz Seigner, such as the multi-award winning Los Silencios (Brazil, France, Colombia), which was co-produced with Cine-Sud Promotion (by Thierry Lenouvele) and Dia-fragma Fabrica de Peliculas (by Daniel Garcia), premiered at the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018, and was released in over 40 countries. Miríade Filmes was also the main producer of the feature film Bollywood Dream (Brazil, India, USA), which was co-produced with Rattapallax (by Ram Devineni) and Prasad Studios in India and was shown at the São Paulo International Film Festival in 2009 and in the Busan IFF Official Competition 2010, among 20 other festivals around the world. The company has also produced the short film Olga’s Family, which is part of the feature film Neighbors (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), produced by Jia Zhang-Ke, and shown at the Pyngiao festivals and at the São Paulo IFF 2019 Exhibition; and the documentary Between Us, a Secret (Brazil, Burkina Faso, Mexico), shot in Mali and premiered in 2021 in cinemas and on digital platforms (distributed by Vitrine Filmes).
Miriade Filmes is currently co-producing the feature film Blue Flamingo with Abrolhos Filmes, Globo Filmes, Telecine, Canal Brasil, and Cine Sur ProMotion (France), predicted to be shot by mid 2024; the feature film While They Sleep, in co-production with Big Bonsai, Telecine, Canal Brasil, and CineSud promotion (France), expected to be shot by the end of 2024; the feature film Leopoldina, in co-production with Big Bonsai, expected to be shot in 2025, all written and directed by Beatriz Seigner; and the series Amigas written and directed by Beatriz Seigner and Maira Bühler, a project that won the SeriesMakers award from the Séries Mania program carried out by Beta Group.
